Chaeyun is a doctoral betboom dacha at Michigan State University’s Department of Media and Information. She serves as Research Assistant at the Social and Psychological Approaches to Research on Technology-Interaction Effects (Spartie) Lab. She is Lead Research Assistant in the project, “Collaborative Research: Virtual Meeting Support for Enhanced Well-Being and Equity for Game Developers'' funded by the National Science Foundation. She conducts research on emerging communication technologies (e.g., VR, AR, and the metaverse), Human-Technology Interaction, and computational social sciences. She is particularly interested in 1) how to improve the virtual meeting experiences in the professional context through virtual reality and the metaverse, 2) how to support collaborative virtual environments in the future of workplaces, and 3) how to augment equitable virtual workplaces. She received her M.A. in communications from Yonsei University and her B.A. in Business Administration and Film, TV, and Multimedia from SungKyunKwan University. She served as a cloud computing system planner for Samsung SDS and UX designer for a start-up company.
