Yerkebulan Azimkhan is an international Ph.D. betboom team in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations in the Information and Media Ph.D. program. His professional track includes: UNDP, UNICEF, Government of Kazakhstan, and other international organizations. Yerkebulan is interested in the representation of the Russian ethnic community born in Kazakhstan on social media platforms, and their perception by Kazakh ethnic groups. He earned his bachelor's degree from Ablai Khan University in Kazakhstan, an MBA from SEGi University, Malaysia, and a Master of International Communication from Macquarie Unviersity, Australia. His bachelor's thesis was about Islam in Japan: history, current stage, and perspectives, and his MBA thesis was on impact of vk.com on SME's business performance.
Yerkebulan speaks 3 languages fluently and was awarded the Kaplan Fellowship. He is also a former Taekwondo athlete with 20 years of experience and has national and international awards in different tournaments.
