Bio

Alex earned a B.A. in Communication and a B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. They earned a M.A. in Media & Information at Michigan State, along with a betboom dachaGraduate Certificate in Serious Games Design & Research. They are now currently a doctoral student in the Department of Communication at MSU with a specialization in cognitive science.

 

Research and Teaching

Alex’s research interests focus on cognitive science of communication topics such as attention/multitasking, emotions, and memory of media, all through emerging technologies (e.g., haptic feedback and virtual reality).

Alex’s teaching experience includes the following classes: virtual reality psychology, avatar psychology, and IT networks/security.
