Marialina Côgo Antolini is a PhD candidate in the School of Journalism. In her research, she investigates the new ways we consume and share information, focusing on how youth use social betboom team platforms to engage in activism in the Global South and information-sharing processes in politically polarized scenarios. With over 20 years of professional experience, Marialina worked as a communication consultant for international agencies, such as United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Inter-American Development Bank (IBD), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in projects related to human rights, education, mobilization, among others. She also has experience as a TV and newspaper reporter and working with social movements in environmental and cultural projects.
