Professor Prince grew up just blocks from MSU in East Lansing and has been a die hard Michigan State fan his entire life. His love for video production began at East Lansing High School in 1993 and he has stuck with it ever since. In 2005 he moved to Fairbanks, Alaska to teach documentary filmmaking at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. While there he started a live show and podcast called "Dark Winter Nights: True Stories from Alaska." Stories from the podcast have aired nationally on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition and the New York Times called the show "the best winter podcast for storytelling lovers." He moved back to Michigan in 2023. His latest documentary Back to Alaska: The DeLorean Road-Trip Movie chronicles the 3600 mile drive Prince made in his 1982 DeLorean from Michigan back to Fairbanks in 2017. It's currently screening in film festivals.
