Bio

Taewoo Kang is doctoral betboom dacha in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, Brandt Political Communication Research Assistant and recipient of the Kaplan fellowship 2022-23. He received his BA in Mass Communication at Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea), and MSc in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands). His research interests include digital politics, online news exposure, digital competence and civic infrastructure.

Prior to entering academia, he worked as a radio producer at SBS-a major network in Korea, making/directing various genres of programs from news to entertainment.

Also, he is an award-winning author published two full-length novels. His debut work, "Shortest Path," won the 25th Munhakdongne Novel Award-literature society award in Korea (2019, in pen-name).
