As an Academic Advisor for the School of Journalism and the Media and Information Department, Allyson supports students in navigating their academic journeys. Allyson has recently taken on the role as the Coordinator for New Student Orientation in the College of Communication Arts & Sciences.

Before joining the College of Communication Arts & Sciences, Allyson was a Graduate Assistant at Grand Valley State University, as well as a practicum student at both Grand Rapids Community College and Aquinas College.

Allyson earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Grand Valley State University.
